Kimberlee's 12th Birthday Sleepover...

This is Kimberlee's birthday cake after all the girls each decorated themselves and their sleeping bag.
The night started with manicures, and pedicures. Kim brought down her foot spa and Dina brought over her paraffin wax treatment.
Look at these cute fingernails...a polka dottedd french manicure!

I treated Dina to a dalmation french manicure.
Wow...what a spread!
Laying out the beds for the movie.
Decorating the cake. Everyone had their own section.

Opening gifts.
Kohls gift card!
It was after 4:00 a.m. when ALL the girls finally fell asleep....

Kim's breakfast request...pancakes and sausage!
Lots of fun with fun friends!

Super Heroes are Real!

New Year's Eve party planning starts the day after the last party, that would be New Year's Day! We always have to have a silly family photo to get into the swing of things and here it is... (Nice photo shop work Dad, love those muscular super heroes!)
The family at the party, everyone accounted for, all Ghostbuster in check with proton packs (thanks Josh and Aaron). No Stay-Puff Marshmellow Man in sight!
Getting set-up. We begin at the community center at 3:00. Six hours is barely enough time, but it happens every year!
Building the balloon chutes!

Since this is a family affair, everyone helps...including Spidey and...

The Chocolate Monster, Audrey!

Melissa and Dad, working on balloons!

Jaimee and Dena went all out with their silver spray-painted boots from the Goodwill!

I just love John and Bea! They are always ticket number one and ticket number two at every New Year's Eve Party!

Clark Kent aka Jeremy

This is the top of my brother Josh's head, confetti filled!

My friend, Cyndi. So glad that she and Donald came!
Mike helps spread some confetti on his sister and Donald!

I'm not sure what that face is all about...I'm sure I had confetti in my mouth though!

Gina, Terry and April

Just before midnight when the balloons full of money come tumbling out...

Let the madness begin! Let me tell you a secret, the $100 bill is in a red balloon! Oh, was!

Sifting through the confetti for any $$ remains!
At the DJ booth

Derek...$100 richer!

Stacy and Cedric...hard to believe that Stacey used to be in my Young Women's group...sheesh! They drove up from San Francisco to come party with us!

Ruth and Rod...more party animals!

Chris and Jody

Me and Paul...gotta love those self-portraits!

...and the cleanup begins!

Rod and I help clear an area...hee hee hee!

...and then April and I help mess it up again!

Confetti angel??
Then Ruth and I take a running, sliding dive into a huge pile...wow!

A short video clip of some great fun!

Happy New Year!

So...the day after the greatest party of the year, is the second greatest party of the year...the party after the party. We gather at my house for leftovers and some party discussion. But, the best part is just having my family over...really, who could resist holding this sweet girl?
This is beautiful girl is Claire Bear, my brother Joshy Bear's daughter. The last time I held her was in a hospital in the NICU in San Diego. What a blessing she is!

This beautiful girl is my 12 year old daughter, Kimberlee. Here she is with her number twelve girl statue that Grandma Weaver gives her. She loves this collection and each year she looks forward putting the next one on her shelf.

OK, OK, I bought the cake...but look how nicely I wrote her name. Really...after all the planning and details that go into our New Year's Eve Party Kim's birthday can easily turn into an afterthought...darn that girl for being born on New Year's Day!
Ready...Set...Blow!
Daddy helps cut the cake.

Claire Bear and Joshy Bear (my baby brother).
