Happy Valentine's Day...red and pink are the theme!

So...this year Valentine's Day landed on a Sunday. Since we go to church and don't go out on Sundays we celebrated "in" with our neighbors. Lots of fun going on here...
Kiera and Andrea try out my chocolate covered strawberries...before dinner!
Ruth's delicious red punch...
Great decos and set-up...

We used the pink and red theme, so why not dress accordingly, right? Had to get in the spirit somehow!!
Ruth and I...just having fun with it!
Kiera's heart shaped rolls...to die for!
Shrimp...mmm...

Goofy girls...
...and goofy friends...
Kim loves her Daddy, even though it says, "I Love Kiera" on her face.

Spirit Week at AHS

I love that Aaron enjoys dressing up for Spirit Week. This year he is a Sophomore, still hard for me to believe...
Monday was pajama day, I don't have his pic for that... Tuesday was "Trash Bag Day" and yes ...I used a pattern to cut and assemble the black pants for him. I've got spirit, yes I do, I've got spirit...how 'bout you? Aaron's a good sport! I'm sure he was the classiest looking trash bag guy at school, especially with the tie!

Fashion Disaster Day

Senior Citizen Day...complete with a walker that Terry bought at the D.I. and the cathader bag which he later filled with apple juice, thanks Ruth!

Class Color Day
This means the Sophomore class wears gray and Aaron thinks it is the worst color ever! He actually wants to petition to wear another color, a more cheery one that isn't even a school color. Good luck with that I said!

Pinewood Derby, not for Aaron though!

Currently I serve in my church over the Primary organization, including the Cub Scout aged boys. Saturday was our annual Pinewood Derby and it turned out great!
Checking to make sure the car is regulation size.
Justin's was a little too long so Brother Swanson came to his rescue...really! He drove home and came back with this table saw set-up to slice off about 1/4 of an inch. Thank you!

After your car weighs in then it waits for race time in the Parking Lot.

Sister Bailie carefully places the cars on the track to make sure the wheels aren't touching and the car is centered in each track.

We had a great cheering section!

Aaron's desk is...

...pictures are worth a thousand words...and projects...and really great ideas! Obviously he doesn't use this desk for homework in any of his Honors or AP classes!

What the...????

...well if you can't guess, here's a hint. In my kitchen there are the vinyl words (in large six inch letters) "I Cook, You Clean. ~T. Weave" They are posted there for a very good reason. I am good at multi-tasking, but not multi-task cooking. Okay, I'm not good at any cooking. These are burned rice krispy treats...and you thought rice krispy treats couldn't be burned because they aren't baked. Well, there you have it!

A Visit to Mels

We've been meaning to have some fun with Kim's costume that Grandma Jill sewed for her. Finally we made it to Mel's Diner for a quick photo shoot. It was a holiday and pouring rain but we managed to work it in quickly.

Kimberlee's 12th Birthday Sleepover...

This is Kimberlee's birthday cake after all the girls each decorated themselves and their sleeping bag.
The night started with manicures, and pedicures. Kim brought down her foot spa and Dina brought over her paraffin wax treatment.
Look at these cute fingernails...a polka dottedd french manicure!

I treated Dina to a dalmation french manicure.
Wow...what a spread!
Laying out the beds for the movie.
Decorating the cake. Everyone had their own section.

Opening gifts.
Kohls gift card!
It was after 4:00 a.m. when ALL the girls finally fell asleep....

Kim's breakfast request...pancakes and sausage!
Lots of fun with fun friends!
